For a couple of years I leased a small open studio which formed part of a large antique dealership on the outskirts of Harrogate. I still look back fondly at my time there, the characters that I got to know in that short period will forever reflectively keep me amused with the antics that went on day to day!!

I'll never know how it found its way there but I decided simply as a an act of self indulgence upon completing the final yellow brick road piece I'd create a study of it.
There was something emersively fascinating about the patterns and evidential ware that had become engraved from years of undoubted adventures. The storys it could tell, the flights of fantasy it had taken part in ,each mark highlighting a point in its journey. It had a vibrance that couldn't have been created by anything other than time and affection and I wanted to reinterpret that with a paint brush.
