Summer was upon us and with that came the inevitable "I should buy an actual VW camper. A little rusty barley presentable VW, nothing too flashy!
Imagine the places I could see!" My disillusioned desire to own a camper and navigate the world(Yorkshire) with nothing more than an air cooled engine and my Witts about me is comparable with the day dream I had as a young art student that Damien Hirst might one day stumble upon my work and offer in the very least to do a swap for one of his spot paintings.
I'm not entirely sure where this flight of fantasy originated from but both are highly unlikely and floored on many levels.
That said every year I'll still eagerly visit a few V DUB festivals and marvel at the campers in the same way I first did when I stood in front of one of Hirst's spot paintings.. they both still enlighten me with a sense of freedom.
